National IPR Policy announced

The IMI [The Indian Music Industry] representing the recording industry of the country and affiliated to IFPI [International Federation of the Phonographic Industry] welcomes India’s recently announced National IPR Policy and is encouraged by the statement of Mrs. Nirmala Sitaraman, Minister of State (Independent Charge) for the Ministry of Commerce & Industry who said , “We have to stop this (piracy) as it tarnishes the image of our country and many music producers and artists are unable to protect their content. Now we want to give them better protection of their IPR”.

Delhi 2 Dublin, the international electronic pop bhangra fusion band recently launched the official music video of We're All Desi from their album of the same name, shot with the local cast and crew in Dharavi slum in Mumbai, the largest slum in Asia.
