It was about 40 years ago when on 6th April, 1974 that Swedish group ABBA won the Grand Prix of the Eurovision Song Contest with their memorable song ‘Waterloo’. ABBA went onto become one of the biggest selling groups in the world, selling millions and millions of records, and ‘Waterloo’ topped the list of songs in the Congratulations show that commemorated the 50th anniversary of the contest in 2005.

The original ABBA last performed in 1986 and till early 2013 we lived with a ray of hope that they would perform again but that ray of hope soon faded and we were left with the reality that we would never see ABBA on stage again.But the ABBA fans were not let down ABBA gold a tribute band kept ABBA mania alive with their sound and look alike act they soon became the busiest and the closest to the originals in sound and appearance.After their BBC performance they were labeled the best ABBA tribute band.

The song list would include the hit songs like ‘Gimme! Gimme! Gimme’, ‘Money, Money, Money’, ‘Waterloo’, ‘Chiquitita’, ‘Fernando’, ‘Dancing Queen’, ‘Knowing Me, Knowing You’, ‘Mamma Mia’ and many more

ABBA GOLD'S largest audience, where they played to 93,000 people in Aberdeen, Scotland.ABBA GOLD has been lucky enough to play all over the world. This includes every country in Europe, all over the UAE and Asia, South Africa and Canada.

ABBA GOLD have had 2 different Eurovision Song Contest Winners as their support acts. These were 1981 winners Bucks Fizz and 1976 winners Brotherhood of Man. They also completed a 2 year tour with Bucks Fizz and Boney M as their support acts.
