Lavasa City, India’s first planned hill city, saw over 15,000 music lovers, art aficionados, food and wine connoisseurs and summer enthusiasts attending the F.A.M.E 2014 Festival over the last weekend. The Food-Art-Music & Entertainment (F.A.M.E) Festival ran from May 30 to June 1, 2014 where audiences were treated to art, music, theatre, global cuisine, shopping and art workshops.
During the three-day Festival, residential sales and bookings increased by over fifty percent, reconfirming an increased appetite for the discerningly designed apartments and villas at Lavasa City.
Commenting on the successful FAME 2014, Mr. Nathan Andrews, President and CEO, Lavasa Corporation stated, “We are extremely happy with the overwhelming response to FAME 2014. The festival got off to an energized start on Friday with an exciting line up of performances by Shibani Kashyap and Mame Khan, the Classical Quintet, Sharon Prabhakar, Niladri Kumar and DJ Ankytrixx. Grape stomping, flea markets, wine and beer tasting, Salsa and Zorba dancing, art exhibitions, street dancing, theatre performances and karaoke filled up the calendar for the three-day event.
On the subsequent days Rakesh Chaurasia, Ravi Chary, Fazal Qureshi, Agnee, Joe Alvarez and Louis Banks took over the stages to keep the audience pepped up with their signature genres ranging from Indian Classical, Jazz and Rock.
The audience also got a chance to get introduced to classical opera by Italian opera singer Gioconda Vessichelli. Theatre performances by Sharon Prabhakar, Tara Sutaria and Bharat Dabholkar added to the diverse repertoire of the festival.
Music aside, famed artists displayed their art works at the promenade at Lavasa and at the same time gave the revelers an opportunity to appreciate and learn creative art and painting under their and other art teachers’ guidance.
Besides this, the stage at this fiesta was also set for some scrummy cheese tastings, street food layouts, live grills and cooking counters, and multi-course meals and a lavish spread from all across the world prepared by leading chefs.To add to this, visitors got a taste of the best domestic and international wines and beer brewed by local breweries.
