Mumbai grooves to the tunes of Clean Bandit and Benny Dayal as they come together for Tuborg OPEN

Grammy Award winning UK pop band, Clean Bandit arrived in India to joinpopular Indian singer Benny Dayal for the third edition of Tuborg Open a global music project which uses music as a platform to encourage people to be Open for Fun by pushing the boundaries of what they know and like.

The trio, made up of Grace Chatto and brothers Luke and Jack Patterson, have sold 44 million global singles, working with artists such as Demi Lovato and Sean Paul on their hit tracks Solo and Rockabye.

As part of their visit, Clean Bandit and Benny Dayal made appearance at a launch party in Mumbai on 16th May at The St. Regis, to give fans an exclusive opportunity to see them up close and personal. This event saw fans come together to watch Benny perform live and Clean Bandit play an exclusive DJ set which included some of their own biggest hits such as Symphony and new single Mama.

Speaking about the partnership, Grace Chatto, a member of Clean Bandit, said, “We’re excited to collaborate with Benny Dayal on the Tuborg Open project and to learn more about the people and places that inspire his music. Our brief India trip was just a sneak-peak of that. We had a great time interacting with fans in Mumbai and are really looking forward to seeing what we can create with Benny in the coming weeks.”

During their two-day India visit, Benny is immersing the band in Mumbai’s local culture to give them a better understanding of the influences and styles that make music in India. He is taking them to some of his favourite local places in the city too.

Speaking on the collaboration Benny Dayal, said, “I feel excited to be a part of Tuborg OPEN and to work with Clean Bandit.I am having a great time, showing them some of my favourite places in Mumbai. I look forward to collaborating with them and creating a track that truly reflects the Open for Fun attitude of Indian audiences.

Inspired by their experiences in India, which included time in the studio with Benny, Clean Bandit will collaborate on a new Benny Dayal track which will be released later in the summer. With the launch of the collaboration track, Benny and Clean Bandit are hoping to encourage music fans to press shuffle on their usual musical choices, allowing them to open their minds to new and diverse experiences.
