Susmit Sen, co-founder of Indian Ocean who recently left the band probably just cannot remove the word Ocean from his mind. It’s no wonder then his first album with his new venture The Susmit Sen Chronicles. is called 'Ocean to Ocean'.

After enthralling audiences for many years as the lead guitarist and one of the founding members of India’s most popular fusion band, Indian Ocean, Susmit Sen has come out with the debut album of his fresh and new musical venture, Susmit Sen Chronicles. Titled ‘Ocean to Ocean’, the album is a veritable treat for music lovers. The seven tracks in the new album are vintage Susmit featuring his trademark guitar work and remarkable collaborations with globally acclaimed artistes such as Bernie Marsden and Orosz Zoltan.

The first song of the album Bongingon was launched on 11^th July, followed by the second track Neptune’s Dance in the last week of July, post which the entire album will be available in the first week of August.

Talking about the album, Susmit Sen says, “Working on this album has indeed been a pleasure and a source of great happiness for me. To start afresh is not easy, but I would like to give full credit to all my band mates for the freshness, vitality and enthusiasm that they have infused in ‘Ocean to Ocean’. I am really positive that people will like the new sound and continue to love and support me as they have over the past 25-odd years. It has been a great experience and we have planned a very special way to launch the album.” 

Ocean to Ocean has seven tracks and is being released globally by Songdew, the largest music network in India. Susmit Sen Chronicles features Varun (Tabla), Anirban Ghosh (Bass Guitars), Nikhil Vasudevan (Percussions), Amit Sharma (Vocals) and Sudhir Rikhari (Vocals), apart from Susmit Sen (Guitars).

The music is available on iTunes, Songdew and 200+ digital platforms.

About the tracks:

Bongingon is a collaboration with Hungarian accordion maestro Orosz Zoltan, and has band member Amit Sharma on the melodic, with lyrics by band member Sudhir Rikhari.

Neptune’s Dance has new percussionist Varun on Tabla, Duff and Manjira and lyrics by theaterist Abhishek Majumdar.

Ocean to Ocean the title track, is a collaboration with the acclaimed ex - Whitesnake guitarist Bernie Marsden (of ‘Here I go again ‘fame). There is table by Gyaan Singh, with the music composed by: Bernie Marsden and Susmit Sen.

Uprising has lyrics by Sudhir Rikhari

8 ½, Neo Swing and Serendipity has the whole band in attendance.
