Pepsi MTV Indies, world’s largest Indie platform launches The Ride – an unconventional celebrity talk-show hosted by Rishu Singh every Saturday beginning Saturday, 19th July at 6pm.
The Ride is a quirky chat-show hosted by Indie personality Rishu Singh who will, every week, invite Indie celebrities from various fields (Bollywood, music, Stand up comedy, artists, etc) and discuss their personal interests, passions, their take on today’s music, family, friends and a lot more.
This talk-show aims to promote home-grown celebrities from within their respective fields – someone who has started from scratch to make a mark and establish a celebrity-status.
The first episode has Rishu interviewing Kalki Koechlin on her life before movies, her stint with theatre, equation with Anurag Kashyap, etc.
Rishu Singhis a musician, a manager and a music connesieur like no other. Being one of the pioneers of the independent music scene in India, Rishu has been chosen to promote outstanding artistes from across the Indie subculture on The Ride, a unique talk-show by Pepsi MTV Indies. Rishu has invested his time and effort in some of the best initiatives in the music industry to provide a platform to many upcoming artistes. The Ride is Rishu Singh’s first stint as a host on television.
He is also the founder of Ennuit.bomb, a company which offers multiple services - from music consultation, brand activation, event management, solutions, band management, and so forth.
Being a serial entrepreneur in the music industry Rishu also initiated ventures like “Stupiditties” – an annual compilation of alternative and punk music from around the country; and ‘We ARE the Scene’ - a series of mixtapes of younger Indian acts released periodically by Ennuit.bomb.
Apart from being a strong support to many upcoming bands that his company manages, Rishu is always on to something new. Rishu is the man behind bringing back mid-week gigs in the suburbs of Mumbai. Fun loving, whacky, crazy, ever-enthusiastic, and an incredible musician, Rishu has always fought the fight, putting his music in top priority, without losing purpose.
Rishu was born and brought up in Mumbai, has an English literature major and is one in a million who actually truly works for the purpose of “Good Music”.
