DJ Bravo states, “I have always been fascinated by the wedding culture of India and given an opportunity I can gatecrash any Indian wedding because I love the entertaining fanfare associated with weddings. This song is an urban, sprightly and beguiling number that is apt for Indian weddings. Earlier this year, I was working alongside Rimi Nique on a gig and accidently heard her humming the song during soundcheck. The hook word 'Chamiya' instantly caught my attention as it resonated with 'Champion'. Thereafter the two us jumped into the studio during IPL and the rest is history. Similar to ‘Champion’ we will be launching a nationwide dance move called ‘The Chamiya Step’, that's certainly going to go viral. The track will mark my maiden attempt in a Bollywood-esque single in which I will be singing and rapping in Hindi and Punjabi.”
Shakti Mohan adds, “When I heard the track initially, I was super excited about the vibe of the song and it almost took me back to my sister's wedding celebrations! It's an extremely upbeat track with a very catchy hook step that we have eatablished now. And of course, It's going to be lots of fun shooting with Dwayne.”
Gaurav Dagaonkar of Songfest who is the brainchild behind the project and also the singer-composer elaborates, “DJ Bravo's 'Champion' was widely popular and continues to be engraved in the minds of the masses. With regards to The Chamiya Song we wanted to present a new facet to his musical innings and we are certain fans across the globe will appreciate our endeavor.”
