It’s been a decade since India was introduced to the sound of the blues, and blues lovers in Mumbai have none other than the Mahindra Blues Festival to thank! The iconic and much-loved Mahindra Blues Festival is back for the 10^th year with a stellar line up of artistes, promising yet another bluesy feast at the Mehboob Studio on 8^th  and 9^th February 2020.

Headlining this milestone edition are Buddy Guy along with Keb Mo, Kenny Wayne Shepherd Band, Larkin Poe and the special Mahindra Blues Festival treat – The Homegrown Blues collective featuring India’s best! Mumbaikars will get to witness live blues magic like never before, spread across two days, right here in the heart of Bandra, enjoying the best of the outdoors and indoor venues.

Age is just a number for the blues master ‘Buddy Guy’. He is one of the most celebrated blues guitarist of his generation, possessing a sound and style that embodies the traditions of classic Chicago blues while also embracing the fire and flash of rock & roll. With 8 Grammy Awards, a 2015 Lifetime Achievement Award, 37 Blues Music Awards (the most any artist has ever received), he has been ranked #23 on Rolling Stone Magazines ‘100 Greatest Guitarist of All Time'. This will be his 5^th visit at the Mahindra Blues Festival, making him a clear favourite amongst blues lovers.

Twenty-five years into his career, Kevin Roosevelt Moore, under the coined moniker, Keb' Mo', continues to combine his masterful anecdotal writing skills, distinctive guitar versatility and rich, resonant, blues soaked vocals, into his signature live performances.This contemporary Blues and Americana artiste’s 2019 album ‘Oklahoma’ debuted at number two on the Billboard Blues Chart and this year also saw the release of his first holiday album 'Moonlight, Mistletoe, and You'.

A few artiste names get synonymous with one instrument and how it’s played in service to an entire genre.Utter the phrase "young blues rock guitarist" within earshot of anyone with even a cursory knowledge of the modern musical vanguard, and the first name they are most likely to respond with will be Kenny Wayne Shepherd.For the last quarter-century, riding shotgun with Kenny Wayne Shepherd has been the greatest road-trip in rock ‘n’ roll.

Larkin Poe is an American Roots Rock band fronted by singer/songwriter, multi-instrumentalist sisters, Rebecca & Megan Lovell. Originally from Atlanta and currently living in Nashville, they are descendants of artiste and creative genius, Edgar Allan Poe. In a genre as storied as American roots and soul, the sister duo are poised to make a mark all on their own with the release of their fourth album Venom & Faith, out November 9.Their brand of Roots Rock 'n' Roll features strong, soulful and gritty southern harmonies, heavy electric guitar riffs and slide guitar.

Tickets are on sale on bookmyshow.com with daily passes available at INR 3000, season passes for INR5000, while students can attend the festival at INR1,200 per day. The Glenlivet Lounge Season Pass, which is inclusive of F&B will be available at INR 18,000.
