Control ALT Delete this weekend in Mumbai

Control ALT Delete - India's largest crowdfunded music festival is back. The 12th edition of Control ALT Delete is scheduled to take place on 1-2 February 2020, and will feature 5 stages, with over 40 artists spread across 2 days.

Announcing the lineup for Control ALT Delete 12, the event promises some fresh acts, along with some favourites performing this year across all five stages. Like every year, the artists from across the country bring their music to the CAD stages.

There are strong acts such as singer-songwriter Ankur Tewari, Ahmer - a hip hop artist from Srinagar, BFR Soundsystem - a reggae protest music soundsystem from New Delhi, If Hope Dies - a metal band from Darjeeling, Park Circus - hip hop act from Kolkata, Parimal Shais - trap producer from Kochi, West African folk act Boombay Djembe Folas and many many more.

Like last year, the five stages will be Survive This (Heavy Metal stage, Sidestand (Alternative, Indie stage), Electric Jungle (Electronica), Mumbai 95 (Hip Hop stage) and Synths & Strings (Singer-songwriter).

The venue has remained the same and the event goes back to the spiritual home in Roaring Farm, Malad to bring two days of music and community. The artwork for this edition of Control ALT Delete is designed by Anoop Bhat.

As always the event is fan-funded and is a people-powered festival. No brands, no logos, only love from fans, artists, creators, and people who are driven by their love for music. This festival runs and is made possible by people’s contributions. There are no tickets and its run on a ‘Pay

What You Want’ principle. Each contribution online, guarantees you a deliverable. All profits of the festival are equally divided among all performing artists and accounts put up in independent music and subculture ecosystem of the country, and be accountable for the growth and success of something you love. The organisers hope to raise 5 lakhs this year.

Crowdfunding is still open, so you can head over to the website and contribute - www.controlaltdelete.in
