This Independence Day weekend let your spirits soar high atLavasa City. The city will celebrate this Independence Day with FREEDOM 2014, a three-day festival from August 15 to 17, 2014, which promises an eclectic mix of live musical and dance performances, with amazing shopping and food.

The fest celebrations will witness live musical performances by the talented Sonu Kakkar (Bollywood singer), Nandini Srikar and Suchismita Das; dance recitals by Mallika Sarabhai and instrumentals by Rahul Sharma (Santoor), Bhavani Shankar (Pakhaawaj) and Vijay Ghate (Tabla). The western music aficionados, can catch live rock music performance by The ‘Rockstars’ band, featuring Warren Mendonsa (Guitar), Jai Rao Kavi (Drums), Adi Mistry (Bass),Karan Joseph (Keyboards) and Joe Alvarez and Gary Lawyer (Vocals).

There’s a special treat for the foodies and shopping buffs too, in the form of ‘Indian Special’ master class by renowned chef, Ajay Chopra, a specially created “Khau Galli”, offering delectable cuisine and day-long shopping at the flea market, offering some of the most popular knick-knacks.
