How do you feel about an intimate listening session of After Hours with The Weeknd himself? Or maybe working on your future goals with a little nudge from Billie Eilish? Whatever may be your choice, Spotify’s got a way to let you do it. 

Spotify has created ‘Alone with me’ an immersive AI (Artificial Intelligence) microsite experience powered by listening data. Through this, fans will be transported to a world that features a life-like version of The Weeknd who will have a personalised one-on-one chat with them. The Weeknd will start by addressing each fan by name, and share how they've streamed his music over the years – their favourite Weeknd song, the year they started listening to him, and more. The experience then turns into an intimate-yet-dynamic listening session of After Hours, one that is solely between the fan and The Weeknd. 

The experience will show The Weeknd’s full body using artificial intelligence and 3D mapping technology. Together with The Weeknd, fans will listen to three of his biggest songs from his recent album in a space inspired by the After Hours visuals. The dynamic listening experience will allow the user to watch and interact with the screen as The Weeknd changes positions – whether he’s walking, sitting in a chair, or staring right at you.

Spotify brought this to life by utilising existing footage and audio recordings of The Weeknd, along with individual listening data to create a personalised experience for each user. By combining Spotify listening data with AI technology, Spotify is able to connect The Weeknd to his fans in a way that’s never been done before on Spotify. 

Spotify has also launched ‘A Letter to your Future Self’, an interactive and personalised microsite designed to connect fans with Billie Eilish and the themes of her new single, My Future. As an extension of the single, which gives listeners an intimate glimpse into Billie’s mindset and her optimistic view on the future, the microsite encourages fans to write uplifting, dream-filled letters to their own future selves.

The microsite will allow users to enter the world of My Future fueled by connection, authenticity, and positivity. As users move through the digital experience, they will write a letter to their future self, wishing on their dreams, manifesting positive growth, and “falling in love” with their futures. After submitting, the completed letter will set off a sparkle in the night sky alongside a mysterious message, “see you in a couple years.” Fans can choose the date in the future for when they wish to receive the letter back.

Join The Weeknd in the ‘Alone With Me’ Spotify experience.. Billie Eilish’s microsite, A Letter to Your Future Self, will be open to fans for two months and can be accessed exclusively on Spotify.
