Building up on his four-part sonic series, Music producer and noted guitarist Zohran Miranda released 8-Bit Rules, the third single of his quadrilogy. The first two tracks Ready for love and Wonder released earlier this year were also connected to the premise of questioning one’s innermost beliefs, while also lending themselves to similar distinct retro future sounds.

8-Bit Rules is about the many conditioned rules that have chained us down to conventional romantic relationships. Unsaid rules that institutionalize relationships or thoughts that question who we fall in love with or our freedom thereafter.

Explaining his deep views on this track, Zohranadds, “With 8-Bit Rules I wanted to break the shackles from many romantic fads and unsaid thoughts and look beyond. I always found age-old sayings like love is blind, opposites attract etc. a bit strange and not fitting to today’s times. These clichés, just like many other theories passed on, somehow seem poetic but hold no real logical truth. And since I’ve been questioning relationships as a whole with this four-part quadrilogy, I thought I should question these too.” 

Zohran maintains his signature retro future sonic vibe to this release as well. The 8-bit here symbolizes fundamental building blocks of how we build definitions and conditions and is also synonymous with video games, sounds from which are used in the track. While this single pose a very sarcastic, sneaky and playful attitude, it questions the thoughts and directives of previous generations ideals bringing to light skewed versions of their success, misplaced anger or gender stereotypes.
