Percept Live, creators of Sunburn, Asia’s biggest electronic dance music festival and Bollyboom, the world’s first and largest Bollywood Dance Music IP, along with TribeVibe, the biggest platform in the college festival circuit, announced the launch of ‘Freshers Fest’ – India’s very first exclusively curated Back-to-College Freshers Festival with an aim to welcome students back to the new academic year.

The 2 day festival will be held on 21 - 22 August, 2021 and see many famous International and Domestic artists spanning the Indie, Bollywood and EDM genre. Over 150,000 fans from 150 colleges across 40 cities are expected to attend the launch event.

Freshers from the pan-India college circuit can look forward to coming together at the start of their academic year for this electrifying online event that will be hosted on a digital platform with an immersive never seen online experience.The EDM genre will see leading global artists including Yellow Claw, Julia Bliss and Teri Miko. The Indie genre will host The Yellow diary, Taba Chake and many more and the ever popular Bollywood category will feature Asees Kaur, Anuv Jain and many more. 

The launch edition of ‘Freshers Festival’ will be hosted on the weekend of 21 & 22 August 2021 through a digital format given the Covid-19 protocols and Government guidelines. Going forward in 2022 the Festival will adopt a Hybrid mode, including a large scale on-ground Festival presenting an array of music, entertainment, F&B and adventure sports options, bringing together music aficionados from over 200 colleges spanning 50 cities.

Plans are afoot to augment the ‘Freshers Festival’ concept in 2022, inclusive of an all India ‘Talent Hunt’ program in the music and entertainment domain. The Campus DJ Hunt will kick off a massive hunt for the best DJ talent in colleges across India. The Contest will be announced digitally, where fans can send in their music tracks on a micro-site.Every city will have a luminary Judge shortlisting winners, and each winner will become the official DJ to perform at Fresher's Festival on Sunburn night.Virtual Jam sessions will enable winners to get a chance to meet renowned Artists and share the same screen, with edits being integrated in the live Artist set on show day.
