BTS wins three American Music Awards, Taylor Swift breaks her own record tally.

Everyone awaits the big awards year after year as they get bigger and bigger and the surprises they bring.

The American Music Awards unlike the Grammy awards, are about the performances. The AMAs were held at the Los Angeles’s Microsoft Theater, on Sunday 21^st November with rapper Cardi B as the host.

The highly anticipated event saw performances by Olivia Rodrigo, Carrie Underwood, Silk Sonic New Kids on the Block and the big act of the night BTS with Coldplay. Although she could not be present for the event, Taylor Swift took home two awards – Favorite Pop Album for ‘evermore’ and Favorite Female Artist. She still holds the record for the most awarded artist in AMA history with a total of 34 recognitions.

BTS on the other hand took home Artist of the Year and also won other awards for Favorite Pop Group and Favorite Pop Song for Butter.
