Davide Lo Surdo considered the fastest guitarist in history, recently released a new song called Full Emersion and this title has a religious meaning.
“This title means a big change in my life with a strong approach to God and faith, the emersion (exit) from the holy water like baptism…. In a few words: a new birth. I started writing the song in 2021 and then I had to stop because I toured in Brazil for Rolling Stone and in Bolivia so I had not much time for composing but I finished the song one month ago” says the guitarist on an email chat from Italy.
“For the recordings I used BOSS pedals and Victory amps. It’s a different song from my first one called Resilience because this one has some extreme fast parts but also some beautiful melody. I recorded the song in my home studio in about two weeks and it will be released on all the digital stores online on 4th December” says the bespectacled guitarist who has visited India in the past.
Surdo will also be releasing also an Official Guitar Playthrough of the song on his YouTube Channel on 27th December.
Surdo is famous for jaw-dropping speed on the guitar. The 22 year old who believe it or not, can play 129 notes per second can send you into raptures at the very first listen. At the Sanremo Music Awards he was noticed by the Patron of the event Convertino who offered him a contract with Warner. Surdo, took the prize in the ‘Rising Star’ section, as the “fastest guitarist in the world”.
The Roman lad has toured all over the world with guitar gods like Michael Angelo Batio, Steve Vai, Mike Stern and Ritchie Blackmore and many more, who were amazed at his guitar wizardry. At their side, he was able to compare himself with the best guitarists in the world and each of them was surprised by his speed, his talent.
Davide has already been competing for some years, in different parts of the world, with the most virtuous guitarists of the moment, earning a place in the show business for his skill and natural talent, after years of active militancy. He is also official endorser for Reference Cables, Italy.
Surdo started playing guitar when he was 9 years old. “Actually when I was young, I saw my neighbor and her dad playing a classical guitar and I got fascinated. So I started taking lessons in a church with a priest and after a few months, he advised my family to call a professional guitar teacher for me. At the beginning, I had some private guitar teachers but after some years I learnt a lot from the guitar players I was playing on tour” signs off Surdo.
