World Jazz Festival returns for its 3rd Edition

Jazz, a compelling genre with a rich history, is a form of music that has caught the imaginative fancy of many musicians and connoisseurs across the world. Its improvisational and experimental nature, coupled with intricate and complex melodic and rhythmic patterns, makes it a highly evolved form of music - built on the immense contribution of several notable legends.

Banyan Tree’s World Jazz Festival was launched in 2020, with an aim of contributing to and enriching the Jazz Scene in India. Presenting exemplary Jazz Music and World Music in tandem, this festival is held in collaboration with the Amersfoort Jazz Festival from The Netherlands. It has travelled to Pune, Bangalore and Mumbai over its previous 2 editions, drumming up a tremendous response in each of these cities.

This year, in its 3rd Edition, the World Jazz Festival grows to newer heights, travelling to 6 cities - Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Pune, Dehradun & Hyderabad - in 10 days, between the 20th and 30th of April 2023.

The Festival Tour marks the occasion of International Jazz Day, celebrated annually worldwide, on the 30th of April.

The festival ends in Mumbai on 29th & 30th of April featuring an extraordinary line-up of eminent jazz musicians from the Netherlands, USA, Brazil, Serbia and South Korea.

Line-Up:

Lucas Santana Quintet

Sven Rozier Quintet feat. Lizzy Ossevoort and Baer Traa
