Swar Utsav was started in 2000 to celebrate 25 Years of The India Today Group. It was held for the first time in Central Park, New Delhi and then at the iconic India Gate. Initially it was spread over a week and then became a 3 day festival. All the maestros of Indian Classical, Sufi, Fusion, Ghazal and various other musical genres have performed on this stage. This platform was also gifted to many new and upcoming artistes who are now big names. The festival stopped when India Gate became a security zone, but this year, it is all set for its revival at the IGNCA lawns from 14th-16th November.
The annual music festival which won thousands of hearts, the event which had maestros performing and fans including dignitarieslistening under the waxing moon, the event that had witnessed more than 25,000 people in three-days, the event where clapping and the humming and feet-tapping used to go on past midnight… is back.
