Banyan Tree brings the oldest and largest music festival

Ruhaniyat, one is all set to start its journey of spreading peace and harmony. In its 14th year now, Ruhaniyat will be presented on 22nd and 23rd November 2014 at the prestigious Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya (Prince of Whales Museum).

What makes Ruhaniyat a soulful experience is that the performers are carriers of living tradition; simple, unheard of but immensely talented people from across the country that live the teachings through their dedication to their art.

As always, this year Ruhaniyat will feature a series of acts and artistes, some never seen before that would leave the audience with a feeling of peace and joy. Apart from the Indian artistes, this festival will also feature ancient mystic songs from Africa along with the haunting strings of ‘Kora’. Ruhaniyat would also be presenting ‘Mystic Pathways’, an Indo-Bulgarian production that will trace the musical journey connecting Bulgaria with the gypsies of India.

This year once again, Ruhaniyat in Mumbai is supported by Tata Consultancy Services, Bank of America, Chhatrapati Shivaji Vastu Sanghrahalaya & CNBC TV 18.

Conceived by Mahesh Babu way back in the year 2001 in Mumbai; the 14 glorious years have indeed been very special for everyone- the artists, audiences and our partners. And yet, there is so much to explore from Ruhaniyat… the journey is uncut!

Says Mr. Mahesh Babu, CEO of Banyan Tree. “It has been an amazing mystic journey of Ruhaniyat, extremely demanding and deeply satisfying at the same time. In these 14 years we have received so much love, appreciation and enthusiasm from the audiences, performers and corporate partners! What is even more satisfying is the fact that the performers, most of them discoveries of Ruhaniyat, have now become well known faces and are being invited for various festivals not just in India but in other countries as well. Through the journey of 14 years, 10 cities each year the festival has touched the lives of over 2000 artists and ensured that the near-extinct art forms continue for some more time. We look forward to continuing the journey for many more years to come.”

Ruhaniyat will feature the following artists in Mumbai 2014:
