Project Aaghorii, a debut solo music album by Vinit R. Rai, was launched on at Roost Bistro, Delhi on 4th December, where Vinit performed live for an hour long set of compositions from the album. As the name suggests songs from it revolve around beliefs of the abandoned worshipers of Shiva, their dark practices and the supremacy they believe to be a part of.
The tracks Aaghorii, Shankara, Tanashah and Charas talk about Lord Shiva and Aaghorism, where as Radhika a folk rock and a fusion version of Kesariya Baalam are complete different numbers. The music produced by Bhramm's lead guitarist Mrinal Thapa, is a fusion of Vedic/Folk/Semi Classical with a flavour of Hard Rock, an experiment never ever done before by any artist.
After the launch Vinit has set out on a seven city promotional tour. This led him to stage a performance at Break Through 2014, Pune, a platform by Rhapsody Recordings and Yeti Entertainment to help publish and promote some of the best original up-and-coming songwriters and bands it has to offer. Aaghorii got quiet an overwhelming response from the audiences and also from the likes of Mr. Uday Iyer (Qafilaa-The Band), who Vinit always has idolized.
