EMERGE, the distinct music property that cuts across barriers of conventional music, is back with the second edition. The property gets bigger and better this time, with an eclectic mix of talented international and local artists, photography, modern art and much more
It’s time for Bangalore, Mumbai and Delhi to enjoy one of Britain’s finest rock band this December as The Virginmarys make their maiden India tour with LIVE Viacom18’s EMERGE. The 3 city tour will take the band to Bangalore, Mumbai and Delhi on 12th, 13th and 14th of December, 2014 respectively.
The Virginmarys are a three-piece rock band from Macclesfield, England with Ally Dickaty as the lead vocalist, Danny Dolan on drums and Matt Rose on Bass.
It’s that blend of rock schooling and intelligence that makes The Virginmarys such a thrilling proposition. Unlike so many contemporaries, the three are unlikely to fall into any of the obvious traps that bedevil young bands in their world.
Having spent three years touring and playing alongside a series of self-released EP’s the band have built a fan base that encompasses the likes of Slash, We Are Scientists, Eagles Of Death Metal and Ash, all of whom have invited the band to support them and thousands of devoted fans across the globe.
Their debut album, titled King of Conflict, was released on 4 February 2013 and were named Best Breakthrough act at the 2013 Classic Rock Awards.
As part of the three city tour, the Trio will also be travelling to Bangalore and Delhi. So get in line as The Virginmarys will be coming to your town soon!
The Opening act for The Virginmarys will be performed by LAST REMAINING LIGHT.
Last Remaining Light is an energetic and intense new sound that has come together in early 2014. The band came out of the alternative music scene in Mumbai when Siddharth Basrur(Goddess Gagged), Adil Kurwa (The Colour Compound) and Anurag Shanker(Slow Down Clown) got together to create a new breed of sonic ideas.
The songs are a mix of personal journeys and collective experiences and their upcoming debut is expected to make a defining statement in the recording industry (Featured amongst the most looked forward to releases of 2014 in Rolling Stone India Issue October 2014). The band has started playing gigs since early 2014 and are expected to launch full throttle on a tour early 2015.
