This is the 35^th Edition of the BRIT Awardsof the British Phonographic Industry’s annual pop music awards. The awards ceremony will be held at The O2 Arena in London, presented by pop stars Ant and Dec. This will be their second time they have hosted it since 2001. Award nominations were revealed on January 15, 2015.

British pop singer Sam Smith has been nominated for five BRIT awards, including Best Album, Best British Male Solo Artist and Breakthrough Artist. The 22-year old's debut studio album 'In the Lonely Hour' is up against Ed Sheeran's 'X', Alt-J's 'This is All Yours', George Ezra's 'Wanted on Voyage' and Royal Blood's self titled album.
