Super Bowl XLIX was the most-watched television program in U.S. history and the highest-rated Super Bowl in 30 seasons. It was also the most-Tweeted Super Bowl ever – and Katy generated more than three million Tweets during halftime. She was getting nearly 300,000 Tweets Per Minute (TPM) as her performance drew to a close with “Firework.” Katy continues to be the most followed person in the world on Twitter, with more than 64 million followers. “Katy Perry” was No. 1 on Google Trends on game day.
