blueFROG a music lovers favorite music haunt, offers music lovers a host of interesting shows at their restaurant in Mumbai. The restaurant who has a reinvented food and drinks menu with new additions like tea cocktails, pizzas and a host of select dishes prepared by master culinary craftsmen, now brings you some great sounds too. The most notable ones and what you can expect from them are as follows:

The Darshan Doshi Collective on 8^th July

Holding the record for being the youngest drummer of India in 1997 in the Limca Book of Records, and having just won the IRA (Indian Recording Arts) Award for the Best Percussionist, Doshi has recently recorded songs for Bollywood films such as Rock On 2 and Fitoor (he has worked on films like Rock On, Black, Sarkar, Paheli etc. in the past), and often performs in Farhan Akhtar's Live Band apart from his own band, The Darshan Doshi Collective. The Darshan Doshi Collective is a common fixture on MTV Coke Studio and MTV Unplugged, having just recorded a Coke Studio episode, Darshan Doshi himself will also be going on the USA and UK Tour with Salim Suleiman in September.

Solo Indien + Bombay Bassment on 9th July

Jehu Mulobo is a Congolese Artist/Musician who has collaborated with bands such as Neurone Musik (Congo), Cle de sol (Congo/kinshasa) in the past and was invited to be part of the songs "5 chantiers" made for the electoral campaign of the president of Congo.  Solo Indien is his project, and apart from Indian artists, Solo Indien has also collaborated with artists from UK, France, Congo and America. The band is performing in Mumbai for the first time. Solo Indien's music is best described as up-tempo, groovy and something that compels you to hit the dance floor.  

Jehu Mulobo a.k.a Solo Indien is going to release his first single "Future" feat General Zooz from Reggae Rajahs this September. The song is a unique collaboration between music from Congo and India and is a song for unity and peace.

Solo Indien wants to expose people to music from Congo and various parts of Africa.

One Night in Mumbai/ Minitech Project on 10th July

The band is currently on a road trip across India launching their new album 'Climax' (a collection of about 8 tracks in the genre of space jazz) at blueFROG Mumbai. The first gig on the tour was Social, Delhi with Gurgaon being the last gig of the tour. On this expedition, PCRC has covered 3400 kms so far when their car met with an accident. Following the spirit of the show must go on so, the band took busses to Chennai and Bengaluru playing to packed houses.

Maati Baani on 16th July

Maati Baani is coming up with a new series which will have 70 musicians collaborating from 25 countries, a one of its kind online collaboration.

This month they will perform with artists Mooralala Marwada and Noor Mohammed Sodha from Kutch. Noor Mohammed plays Jodiya Pawa, a folk instrument that is common to Kutch, Rajasthan and regions in Pakistan, while Mooralal Marwada sings Kabir, Sufi and Folks songs from the desert of Kutch. Soon after they perform at blueFROG, Maati Baani will head to the US to perform. Maati Baani has also in the past collaborated with international online sensation, Superwoman among other known artists.

Skylight Vision on 19th July

The band released their new song 'Reverse gravity of a dying star' last month, which was featured on Pepsi MTV Indies and the Rolling Stones online portal, and is also working on their first music video for the song. Skylight Vision will also start recording their first long length album soon.

They are doing a 3 city tour this month, starting with Humming Tree in Bangalore,  moving on to The moon and sixpence in Chennai and ending with blueFROG Mumbai.

Coshish DVD Launch Tour on 23rd July

The band is launching their new DVD, called Mukti, which has the bands 2 new music videos - Mukti and Maya. The band is going on a DVD Launch Tour and will perform in Bangalore on 19 July, at blueFROG Pune on 22 July, and blueFROG Mumbai on 23 July. Their gig at blueFROG Mumbai will have a special dance performance by a Mumbai-based dance troupe to the Song Maya.
