In June 2015, Sula Vineyards, India’s #1 wine producer, introduced their new live music property, Sula Sessions in association with Asahi, Japan’s First Dry Beer, imported to India by Sula Selections – the import arm of Sula Vineyards. Sula Sessions aims to provide an opportunity to some of the finest performers in the country to showcase their talent.  After a successful launch in Pune in June 2015, the property made its way to Bengaluru last month with an astounding turnout and now returns to Pune, promising an upbeat performance by Bengaluru-based Disco/Funk act Clown with a Frown on 7^th August 2015.

Sula Sessions is exclusively curated by Ryan Sadri and his team at New Clear Ideas and features some of the most promising artists and bands on the scene. Over the next six months, one will see the best performers come together to form a live band, the “Sun Collective” that will debut at the upcoming SulaFest 2016.

Clown with a Frown is a Disco/Funk band from Bangalore (India) formed in September 2011. Set out to redefine dance music, by revolutionizing sounds from the 70's disco era, Clown With A Frown draws influences from a wide array of artistes like Chic, Jamiroquai, Earth Wind & Fire, Kool & the Gang, Steely Dan, Tower of Power and many others. The band's sound is predominantly a mix of jazz, funk, fusion, R&B, soul, reggae and disco styles blended into a modern pop rock structure. They are known for their groovy bass lines, simple upbeat rhythms backed by powerful horns and soulful vocals, all combined into a power packed, high energy act. The talented band is all set to launch their debut album this October.
