ALS and Amsterdam Lights Festival win top honours at EEMAX Global Awards 2015.

Going international this year, The EEMAX Global Awards 2015 concluded with a bang on 20th September. The event industry’s premiere award ceremony saw 27 agencies emerging as winners with 32 gold, and 33 silver awards being handed out across categories.

Dominating the awards ceremony was Encompass Events who walked away with a total of 8 awards followed by Wizcraft International who took home 6 awards. TRO took home a total of 5 laurels.

Daniel Rodriguez was felicitated with the Global Honours for Innovative Technology while Patrick Roubroeks, Creative Director, Partner & Founder, Xsaga took home the Global Honours for Experience Creation. Nancy Frates, the mother that started the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge was recognized for a successful Global Cause Campaign and Santiago Corrado, President and CEO – Tampa Bay was honoured for Event Tourism and Community engagement. The Global Honour for City Festival Creation went to Rogier van der Heide, Artistic Director, Amsterdam Light Festival. Funnymen AIB were honoured with an award for the Best Live Performance in the Comedy Category.

Commenting on the EEMAX GLOBAL Awards, Sabbas Joseph, President, EEMA and Founder – Director Wizcraft International said “It is truly an honor to recognize talent and present awards to the event industry’s star performers from world over. At EEMAX GLOBAL this year, we have witnessed the finest from across the globe compete with each other and the best of the best emerge as winners. This year our aim of going global was successfully achieved and we are looking forward to bringing an even bigger EEMAX GLOBAL next year”.

The awards evening also saw entertainment packed performances from celebrity performers including Ustad Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Lauren Gottlieb and the MJ ]5 oF India’s Got Talent fame.

Global speakers for the conclave included, Nancy Frates, founder of the Ice Bucket Challenge, Patrick Roubroeks: Creative Director, Partner & Founder, Xsaga, Santiago Corrada, President and CEO, Tampa Bay, Rogier van der Heide, Amsterdam Lights Festival, Artistic Director, Daniel Rodriguez- Holograms for Freedom- Copywriter & Creative Director, DDB Spain and Alistair Schoonmaker- Nike Rise House of Mamba- Client Partner, AKQA.

On the India front, the conclave saw industry stalwarts participating in panel discussions like Intellectual Properties: Building the Future with Viraf Sarkari, Wizcraft International, Creators of IIFA, Vivek Singh, Procam International, Creators of Mumbai Marathon, Vijay Nair, Only Much Louder, Creators of NH7, Martin Da Costa, 70 EMG, Creators of INDIA BIKE WEEK, Rajesh Kejriwal, Kyoorius Group, Creators of Kyoorius Design Yatra, whereas the discussion on Licensing Made Easy saw Kapil Mishra, Minister of Tourism, Art and Culture, Delhi Government, Sanjay Kumar, IAS, Commissioner- Excise, Delhi Government and Vijay Nair, Director, OML. Valsa Nair Singh, Principal Secretary, Tourism and Culture, Govt. of Maharashtra also spoke on The Maharashtra Magnet at the conclave.

The awards ceremony was preceded by a conclave held at Taj Lands End, Mumbai on 19th and 20th September.
