The 2015 edition of the happiest music festival - Bacardi NH7 Weekender, concludes its third visit to the City of Joy - Kolkata today. Thousands of music lovers from all over Kolkata and surrounding cities thronged to Aquatica in New Town to catch some of the biggest music acts in the space.
Day 2 of Bacardi NH7 Weekender saw a diverse and incredible line-up of musicians right from mesmerising sounds of Wailers, Anish Sood and Dhruv Voyage; the eclectic performances of Underground Authority, Nikhil D’Souza and The Bartender to upbeat Nicholson, Papon & East India Company and Undying inc, the first day of the Kolkata leg had it all. The high energy set unleashed by Metal Kings Megadeth left the spectators speechless with their and craving for more.
Along with some great music and stunning visuals, this year’s festival also features The BACARDI Store by Happily Unmarried with the exclusive merchandise for BACARDI NH7 Weekender, the Swiggy Food Bazaar with a delectable array of regional, Indian and international cuisines. The Maker’s Market by Engrave showcases creative products specially curated by artists, craftspeople, DIYers from across India right from hand-woven baskets and beaten metalware, to funky tees, fashion accessories, jewellery, bags, art, home décor and more. Day-2 of Kolkata also saw the hangover of Halloween amongst the music lovers too. Many of them dressed in interesting spooky costumes and cheered for their favourite bands.
Over the last five years, Bacardi NH7 Weekender has grown to be one of the country’s most loved musical weekends - representing Bacardi India and Only Much Louder’s commitment to giving fans unforgettable musical experiences - a reflection of the untamable spirit of the festival. This year, over 150 artists will play at the Bacardi NH7 Weekender’s five editions – Shillong, Kolkata, Delhi, Pune and Bengaluru.
