Music and motorcycle enthusiasts from around the country came together to witness India’s biggest rock festival – Harley Rock Riders, held at the Richardson &Cruddas Foundry in Mumbai, on 30th and 31st October 2015. Music streaming service Guvera partnered with the fest for the second time in a row to toast the confluenceof rock music and motorbikes, at the 6th edition of music festival. The festival saw some of the best rock talent from India and around the world performing on the Guvera and Harley-Davidson stages.
In addition to the Guvera stage, the streaming service also hosted the‘Guvera Motorcycle Clubhouse’ where fans could ride a Harley Davidson motorbike, and also had access to WiFi throughout the day. The Clubhouse served as a space for music enthusiasts to learn more about the Guvera music streaming app, while also relaxing after a power-packed band performance. As a pre-requisite to access the lounge facilities, attendees had to download the Guvera app on their phone.
Harley Rock Riders also hosted a bike customization event called ‘Custom Champion’, in which, Claes Loberg, Founder and Director of Innovation at Guvera, was a judge. In regard to the event, he said, “We’re excited to continue to bring great [rock] music to the fans through long term music, festival and film partnerships with Harley Davidson. Bringing together a combination of huge international artists with impressive local talent reflects what we want to bring all music fans – both on stage and via mobile. It was great to see a mix of motorcycles, music and mayhem at HRR once again!”The judging panel also had veteran Japanese custom bike builder Kaichiroh Kurosu of Cherry’s Company– a leading private custom motorcycle shop based in Japan.
The festival spanned over two-days and saw some of the biggest bands perform, including Abraxas, Bhayanak Maut, Scribe, Skrat, Indus Creed, F16s, Super Fuzz, The Sky Vengers among others. Metal fans were given a treat of their lifetime withMegadeth’sperformance at the end of the first day, while reggae fans grooved to the tunes of the popular international band – The Wailers.
