Mumbai witnessed a historical book launch of 97-year-old world renowned dancer and yoga master Ms. Tao Porchon-Lynch’s long awaited autobiography, ‘Dancing Light’ - The Spiritual Side of Being Through the Eyes of a Modern Yoga Master, written by Janie Sykes Kennedy and Teresa Kay - Aba Kennedy and dancer by Dance Guru Sandip Soparrkar, Theater Maverick Alyque Padamsee.
The book ‘Dancing Light’ is about the life journey of Ms. Tao Porchon-Lynch, her memories take us through her fascinating life as a child in India, a resistance fighter in WWII, marching with Mahatama Gandhi, being a top French model, Hollywood actress, modern day Yogi, and an accomplished ballroom dancer. In 2012, she was named “Oldest Yoga Teacher” by Guinness World Records.
Speaking on the occasion Ms. Tao Porchon-Lynch said "I am so glad that my book is being launched in my birth land India, though I never lived here for too long but this spiritual country always kept pulling me towards her and I have made numerous visits to this magnificent land, Indian values and teachings have made me who I am today. Yoga and dance are two major aspects of my life and this traditionally rich country has given me all my life's treasures."
The venue, Dublin Square, at Phoenix Market city, Kurla in Mumbai was packed with audience from the world of glamour, gorgeous Bollywood actress Sharbani Mukherjee hosted the evening which had the guests list of who is who from the world of entertainment, Sadhya Shetty, Rohit Verma, Kawaljeet, Mithun Purandare Amit Dolawat, Mayank Lalpuria and others.

Ms Tao Porchon-lynch dressed in her 4 inches high heels and a hot purple dress along with dance maestro Sandip Soparrkar enthralled the audience by performing the Cha Cha Cha to an old Bollywood hit song Babuji Dhere Chalna while the public cheered for the two renowned dancers. It was an evening of inspiration for all dance lovers, we wish Ms. Tao a long life filled with more and more dancing so that she can inspire us forever.
