Alternative electronic music as a genre really caught on the very fast and struck the right chord of party and music lovers. Future Theory will be all about celebrating the rise of this scene in the country’s musical biome. The festival will go on for two days over the last weekend of February and if you don’t have it on your weekender list, then you’re neither a true blue travel enthusiast nor a music aficionado.
Future Theory has curated a very interesting line up of international artists including like Peter Dundov and Alexander Robotnick, who will debut in India with this festival. Homegrown producers will include M.Mat x Sandunes, Pawas, Hamza (vinyl set), Kumail, 5volts, and Audio Glitch to name a few.
Headlining the event will be Troy Pierce, one of the first few members of the legendary Richie Hawtin’s ‘Minus’ imprint, M.A.N.D.Y, German enigmatic deep house duo, along with the eponymous Croatian techno producer Petar Dundov and Italian electronic musicveteran Alexander Robotnick. Homegrown producers will include M.Mat x Sandunes, Pawas,Hamza (vinyl set), The notorious ‘Iggy’and Aqua Dominatrix, Kumail, 5volts, and Audio Glitch to name a few.T his music fest also stands out by virtue of adding to the revival of vinyls, with four DJs exclusively playing vinyl sets.
Famous campsite organizers White Collar Hippies who never disappoint and other art initiatives for the fest goers are all a part of the overall experience. And if camping is really not your thing, there is always the option to resort to the beautifully rustic yet contemporary rooms and luxury tents at Fort Jadhavgadh. So once the sun begins to set, the fort grounds will come to life with myriad happy faces flockingcenter stage to the dance floor.
Is it possible to take this weekend a notch higher with everything that is already on offer? With Future Theory it definitely is! Transcend through all things that make up your present and fall in love with the glorious Maratha history.
