As we come towards the end of monsoon, High Street Phoenix is back with the most popular monthly musical property, AWESTRUNG for all the music enthusiasts this September.

To kick start the new edition, India’s oldest and most loved band, ‘Parikrama’ plays at AWESTRUNG. Enchanting their fans, the 25 year old, Delhi based rock and roll band will be on a two city tour celebrating their anniversary where the band will perform in Mumbai at High Street Phoenix on 30^th September 2016, and in Pune on 1^st October at Phoenix Marketcity, 6.30 pm onwards. To open the act in Mumbai, the alternative rock band, Anand Bhaskar Collective will play some of the grooviest melodies infusing with Indian Classical music.

Parikrama comprises of Nitin Malik (lead vocals), Sonam Sherpa (lead guitars), Saurabh Choudhary (guitar), Subir Malik (organist, synthesizers), Gaurav Balani (bass guitar) and Srijan Mahajan (drums). On the occasion of their 25^th anniversary, Parikrama will take you back to the nostalgic era of their first song Xeror which will be a reversion by the band. Opening the act, Anand Bhaskar Collective’s music is characterized by a straight-up groove and melody centric alternative rock sound. The band emphasizes a lot on song structures and fuse Indian Classical Elements with their dominant Alternative Rock soundscape. They have performed at various venues like the Little Door, High Spirits (Pune), and events like MTV Indies, McDowell's Signature Expression, Radio Mirchi Indie Star, Rolling Stone Sage etc.

A monthly musical property that started in early 2015, AWESTRUNG, in association with Pepsi MTV Indies and Radio Mirchi, has been instrumental in bringing diverse genres of music and some of the country’s finest musicians, closer to the masses.
