After spreading overwhelming anticipation, Enrique Iglesias lifts the sheets off his tenth full-length studio album, Sex and Love in stores and available via all digital retailers as of March 18.
The Grammy Award-winning multi-platinum international icon has already set the stage for a landmark moment in his storied career with this release.
Sex and Love boasts a total of five worldwide #1 hits prior to its official release. The current single I'm A Freak [featuring Pitbull] skyrocketed to #1 on iTunes in twelve territories, while El Perdedor (featuring the legendary Marco Antonio Solis) reached the top spot on iTunes in four countries (its Bachata version reached #1 in three countries), Heart Attack dominated the iTunes charts in 2 countries, Loco [featuring Romeo Santos] vaulted to #1 in eight countries (its India Martinez version took the #1 spot in four countries), and Turn The Night Up hit the #1 peak in two countries.
There's a lot more to Sex and Love though. The album also features collaborations with the Latin urban star Yandel as well as dance floor icon Kylie Minogue. These cameos contribute to a dynamic and definitive body of work for the singer. It's a sexy, seductive, and soaring romp through pop, dance, and Latin flavors.
Throughout release week, Enrique was everywhere—quite literally. CBS Sunday Morning ran an in-depth profile on the superstar on Sunday March 16, an intimate first for the private star, and he's performed on The Today Show's outdoor stage March 17. March 20 sees him as the featured guest on Bravo's Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen and the music act on ABC's Jimmy Kimmel Live! In addition, he's scheduled to make the rounds on Access Hollywood, Entertainment Tonight, Extra, E! News and more. Plus, he'll adorn the cover of the prestigious USA Weekend issue.
Recently, the artist held a sold out Valentine's Day concert at Madison Square Garden, giving fans a taste of what's to come from the record.
In addition, Enrique was just honored the VEVO Certified Award for reaching 100 million views with Tonight (I'm Lovin' You) in addition to his previous CERTIFIED videos I Like It featuring Pitbull and Cuando Me Enamoro. This will kick off a special VEVO campaign including exclusive artist and fan-focused original content in honor of the clip.
Since 1995, Enrique has solidified himself as one of the most respected and revered stars worldwide. He remains one of the best-selling Spanish artists in history with sales exceeding 100 million worldwide. To his credit, he's turned out five top 5 singles on the Billboard Hot 100 with two reaching the top spot and 12 number ones on the Dance Club Songs chart. Setting another record, he's had 13 number ones on the Dance chart—the most for any male performer ever. Moreover, he has an impressive total of seventy number ones across all Billboard charts. Meanwhile, he also is the record holder for most Spanish language singles to hit number one on the Hot Latin Songs chart, 24 in total. He's got 25 number ones on the Latin Airplay chart and 19 number ones on the Latin Pop Airplay chart. Still, there are even bigger things on the horizon for him.
