NEXA orchestrates a New Symphony with NEXA Music

Maruti Suzuki India Limited recently announced the launch of NEXA Music. It is a first of its kind platform for music aficionados across genres to create original international music of global standards. The unique initiative by NEXA is curated to provide aspiring Indian musicians a platform to compose original lyrics. NEXA Music invites entries from budding musicians across the country to participate. The participants will be mentored by famous music composers and global music icon A R Rahman, supported by Clinton Cerejo.

Hungama Music starts original audio programming

Hungama Music recently announced its foray into original audio programming. Starting with ‘Endrendrum Punnagai’, a Tamil audio original, Hungama Music will soon launch additional shows in other key Indian languages including Hindi, Telegu, Punjabi, Bengali and Marathi, among others. Hosted by RJ Sindhu, ‘Endrendrum Punnagai’ is now available to stream on Hungama Music.

Dr Zeus's statement on copyright claim on "Gwandian"

Dr Zeus's song Gwandian staring Richa Chadha and Varun Sharma embroiled in a controversy. A police head constable from a village near Jalandhar in Punjab, Amrik Singh Shera, claimed that the lyrics were originally penned by him in the ’90s, for which he hadn’t been credited. Dr Zeus clears the air about the controversy and says "I have been unaware about Amrik Singh Shera's role in the song since I got the copyright from Amar Arshi. Personally, I believe in giving credit for where it is due and if I had known this then I would have definitely given him credit for his part. Now that I know the whole story, I would like to acknowledge Amrik Singh Shera for his great work and I want people to know that he is the actual writer for the blockbuster hit Gwandian Da Dhol."
