Red FM started on air promos around 7th December where they strategically kept barging the listeners with tag line Malishkako matt sunn without providing any reasons or explanations. B-town actors and celebs were roped in to reiterate this message to the listeners. A video posted on Red FM’s Facebook page included some some big names of the Bollywood industry who were the listeners not to listen to RJ Malishka. The video started with Aamir Khan saying Malishka ko matt sunn, followed by Vidya Balan, Irrfan Khan, Shraddha Kapoor, Rajkumar Rao, Kapil Sharma, Tumhari Sulu director Suresh Triveni and TV actor Barun Sobti. All these celebs were a part of Malishka’s show at some point and came forward to support Red FM’s latest campaign.
Speaking about the new campaign, Nisha Narayanan, COO, 93.5 Red FM said, “Speaking about the new campaign, Nisha Narayanan, COO, 93.5 Red FM said, ‘’We are very excited for Malishkako matt sunn, the idea behind this stemmed from the concept of stubbornness of the human brain. We always end up doing opposite of what we are asked to do, well; mostly. The strategy with Malishkako matt sunn is to target the wrongdoers, the ones who spit in public places, litter around, break traffic rules engage in catcalls etc. The aim is to tell the citizens that if they are doing any such actions they should stop listening to RJ Malishka on Red FM. As a radio station, we strongly believe that RJ Malishka through Red FM has acted as a catalyst in bringing about a change in the life’s of Mumbaikars. It will always be our constant endeavour to surprise the listeners time and again with such new and innovative campaigns.’’
