Sui-Dhaaga's first song: Ronkini's soulful track Chaav Laga will leave you humming all day.

Kabhi Sheet Laaga, Kabhi Taap Laaga, Beautiful, soulful and mesmerizing – that's what described the song 'Chaav Laga'. The first song from the movie 'Sui Dhaaga – Made in India' is out depicting the unconditional love between the titular characters.

Titled as Chaav Laga, the track portrays an emotional journey of Mamta (played by Anushka Sharma) and Mauji (played by Varun Dhawan)from being a life partner to becoming business partners.

The euphonious track composed by Anu Malik has been rendered by Ronkini Gupta, she is also the mesmerising voice for the critically acclaimed song  'Rafu from Vidya Balan's star "Tumhari Sulu", along with Papon, promises to fill your hearts with love and leave a honey sweet feeling inside your soul.

Sharing her experiences, singer Ronkini Gupta said, "I am blessed that I was offered with the most lyrical and loveable song which is 'Chaav Laaga'. I was impressed with the words of the song written by Varun Grover with whom I have earlier worked in the film "Aankhon Dekhi". Commenting on the preparation for the track, Ronkini said, "I repeatedly sang the lines because I wanted to portray the exact emotions Anuji wanted me to bring to the song.  The trio – Sharat Kataria (Director), Varun Grover (Lyricist) and Anu Malik (Music Director) were in sync with what they wanted. Anu ji taught me the song line by line. It reminded me of the golden era wherein music directors would teach the singers on the harmonium, to get perfection in the song. After a session of two hours of learning, rehearsing and making it my own, we dubbed it."

"Overall it is an experience of a lifetime to be the voice of Anushka Sharma, to sing for a banner like Yashraj, such a stalwart music director Anu ji and such a dynamic and young director Sharat Kataria," an elated Ronkini added further.

Having been a winner of Saregamapa World Series in 2004, she is trained   in Hindustani Classical music for 2 decades and is a Sangeet Visharad from Gandharva Mahavidyalaya, Ronkini Gupta spent her formative year's vocal training with a renowned exponent of Gwalior Gharana and she came into her own style of singing with influences from both Gwalior and Kirana style of singing.
