The Jade room at the Sahara Star in Mumbai resounded to the beautiful voice of Aruni Bagga as she crooned a few tracks from her debut album. Alongwith Rajeev Mahavir, the duo set the evening on a musical note.

Post the live performance, it was time to launch the album. Roop Kumar Rathod did the honor of launching Aruni Bagga's debut album "The Sound Of Sufi". Also present at the music launch were Sivamani, Taufiq Qureshi, Kavita Seth, Mitali Singh, Harshdeep Kaur, Mihir Joshi, Kiran More, Ravi More, Rajeev Mahavir, Haider Najmi & Tochi Raina. The album is on Times Music.

The album “The Sound of Sufi” is based on the getting connected to God through a rare musical journey of soulful Sufi music and poetry. The 8 Sufi numbers have shades and colours that spread across varied styles, languages, regions and rhythms.

The serene voice of Aruni explores the secrets of the heart with a touch of melodious mysticism. The mesmerizing number by Javed Ali and the magical voice of Rajeev Mahavir add vibrancy and freshness to the album. The songs are an enrapturing continuum and will recreate the magic of Sufi music. The music by Rajeev Mahavir is soulful and makes an instant connection between the listener and the divinity of love.
