Raja Kumari premieres new song ‘Karma’ from upcoming EP Bloodline

Grammy Award-nominated songwriter and rapper Raja Kumari unleashes her brand new song Karma The track heralds the arrival of her forthcoming EP ‘Bloodline’ BLOODLINE  due for release on 22nd February, 2019.

Kumari played Karmaduring the first-ever episode of her Beats 1 show, “The New India,” on Apple Music. The song, produced by Sean Garrett, packs a passionate and powerful punch locked and loaded with robust rhymes and fierce delivery over a throwback beat with international resonances. 

“The New India,” which will have more episodes announced soon, finds Raja Kumari showcasing a new wave of talent that she is at the forefront of, bringing artists from Mumbai to New Delhi to the global stage.

Beyond Karma, th EP boasts the recent single Shook Not only did its music video amass three million views to-date, but it also earned acclaim, with TIME Magazine commending it as a song that drips with blustering self-assuredness.” The five track EP features an eclectic take on hip hop and world music, with highlights like the Hindu-flavored island swooning of Robinhood and dark soul duet Born Hustla[feat. Janine The Machine].  Along with Sean Garrett, the EP also includes production work from Danja.Check out the full tracklisting below.

About the project, she said, “Bloodline asks the question, “Who are you?” It’s not just about your family line or your heritage. WHO ARE YOU? What runs through your veins and what are you willing to fight for? This collection of songs was inspired my time in India. I found strength in the Motherland, and these battle anthems are my story, my bloodline.”
