India’s dance music ‘scene starters’ have collaborated with National Award winning singerKavita Seth for a banging new Sufi Electro track on KSHMR’s label DHARMAMumbai based DJ duo Lost Stories have dropped their latest single Mahi in collaborationwith Filmfare winner and Iktara singer Kavita Seth. The track is a bold amalgamation ofEDM and Sufi with the traditional essence kept intact yet perfectly combining dance music.
and the eastern flavour to create the heavenly fusion it is.“A special track and one of our biggest releases till date” as Rishab and Prayag would describe Mahi. It took the duo about 4 years to produce this track the way they wanted to.“The track is very close to the signature sound that we envisioned 10 years ago when we started off as DJs”, they further added.
The song is a traditional one in the words of Baba Bulleh Shah to which the famed sufi singer has lent her melodious voice. Not one to shy away from exploring new horizons in music, Kavita ji said of the release Mahi is one of the most precious songs of my career. “In sync with the new trends in music, the track does full justice to my roots in sufi music. Lost Stories have brilliantly produced and my son Kanishk has done a fantastic job at composing it” says Seth.
Lost Stories is a name synonymous to India’s dance music scene. In their decade long career, they’ve been one of the first indians to represent the country at the some of the world’s biggest stages like Tomorrowland. The duo consists of DJ/Producers Prayag Mehta and Rishab Joshi. Lost Stories gave a glimpse of the track at the Sunburn Festival in Pune earlier in Feb when KSHMR invited them on stage to debut it live with him. The track will be released and distributed via Dharma Worldwide label, the brainchild of world famous electro house DJ, KSHMR. On waiting for the right collaboration KSHMR said, “Lost Stories are like my brothers and I was just waiting for the right song to have together on Dharma.
