Music distribution platform OK Listen and Red Bull Spotlight have partnered to support musicians across the country, giving them a chance to record and release their music.
Having started in 2018, Red Bull Spotlight is a nation-wide programme to identify and support new musicians. Conducted in a battle format, artists go up against each other in city qualifiers, held in close to 10 cities across the country, for a chance to make it to the national finals. While all city winners get to record one single, the winning band/artist at the national level is sent into a studio to record a full album, along with an EPK and other benefits.
Kicking things off is the release of Amogh and the Homies’ debut album, ‘What It Is’. Winners of season one of Red Bull Spotlight, Amogh and the Homies are a Chennai-based band who fuse pop, rap, rock and reggae for a sound that’s fresh and exciting. The album is out now on OK Listen and all major streaming platforms.
Through this partnership, one artist will be selected every month and given the chance to distribute their music on OK Listen and all major streaming platforms. Additionally, one band/artist will also be selected every quarter and sent into a studio to record a full album, along with an EPK and other benefits.
