To celebrate its 33rd anniversary of selfless service to the marginalized particularly the chemical dependent, Kripa Foundation is presenting a fund-raising musical concert on Independence day Friday 15th August at 7 pm at St. Andrew’s auditorium, Bandra.
Produced by Felix Flor and compered by Brian Tellis the concert will feature several leading singers, dancers, and the choral group Victory Chorus Line conducted by Karen Vaswani.
Invitations for the concert are available at Kripa Foundation at Mt. Carmel’s Church. Tel Nos : 26429158//26433027.
The Organization had humble beginnings in a church compound in Bandra in 1981, with three patients in residence, a priest, a doctor and a recovering alcoholic as a role model for recovery and sobriety. Since then this Public Charitable Trust has spread its tentacles all over India with 51 varied facilities addressing Chemical Dependency and HIV and AIDS in 11 states in the country.
The guiding philosophy is a reflection of the spirit of service and dedication, enshrined in the work of Mother Teresa, who personally blessed their Kolkata and Vasai centers.
The concert being held on 15th August which marks India's Independence Day, signifies for the recovering alcoholics and drug addicts, a FREEDOM from the bondage of a life threatening disease.
