Visually bringing out the essence of the recently launched twin-track ‘People’ independent singer-songwriter Nikhil D’Souza, just released the official music video, played back on the Hindi reprise. The 3-minute film very creatively, yet simply brings to life the beautiful relationship between the young and the old, and the innocence that exists in those phases of our lives. That underlying fact of love and hope has been the message of this title track, released in both English and Hindi.
Sharing more on the new video, Nikhil D’Souza said, “I am so thankful for the great response to the audio release and now, super excited for the launch of this video. We couldn’t have depicted the core of this songin any better way and hope that the beautiful message reaches out to as many people out there. This video is a simple, yet powerful story for all of us in these times, brought to life by regular people, just the way it’s supposed to be.”
Conceptualized by Suraj Wanvari, directed by Ruhi More and produced by Twenty Seventh Films & Happy Monk, this short film is pictured on a grandmother and two little kids and the sweet relationship among them that brings the innocence of the song alive. The video puts people in perspective, encouraging the young not to forget those who raised them and pay it forward by overcoming our differences, setting aside race, religion or class.
Nikhil’s last video for Sitaare featured Kalki Koechlin and enjoyed its own fan following. His EP ‘People’ is now live on all streaming platforms and the video can be watched on his YouTube channel.
