With the release of ‘Sound of Resistance Vol. 1’,Azadi Records offers fans to take a look back at this memorable journey so far, as well as introduce them to the new batch of artists that the label will be working with over the next couple of years such as Ali Saffudin, Rak and others.

From debut releases by Prabh Deep, Seedhe Maut and Swadesi to the discovery of hidden gems such as Tienas, Ahmer and Triangles - the Azadi Records catalogue so far can be considered the definitive aural document of the Indian subcontinent in the 21st Century. The compilation features eight new tracks with contributions by Prabh Deep, who collaborates with Singapore-based Tamil phenom Yung Raja, Delhi-based hip-hop duo Seedhe Maut who continue their meteoric rise in the Indian music industry, Srinagar-based artists Ahmer and Ali Saffudin, Kerala-based hip-hop producer SO Fire, boy wonder Tienas, bass-maestro Bandish Projekt and a cross-border Tamil collaboration between Mumbai's Rak, Ranchi's Tre Ess, Chennai's Nigavithran, Sri Lanka's DBK and hip-hop legend DJ Uri.
The Songs - Bandish Projekt returns with a frantic and urgent remix of Swadesi's Marathi anthem The Warli Revolt. On Guess I Gotta, Kerala-based producer teams up with Triangles bandmate Shayan and fellow label mates Ahmer and Tienas to deliver a piercing new single. On the Chitta Remix, Prabh Deep and Yung Raja come together for this anthemic remix of Prabh's latest smash hit single. Mumbai-based Tamil rapper RAK makes his Azadi Records debut on Namma Street a left-field production by Ranchi-based producer Tre Ess with support from Nigavithran, DBK and DJ Uri.
Seedhe Maut’s Do Guna details their rise over the past two years and lays down another marker for their peers with their latest single. Boy-wonder Tienas continues his collaboration with anonymous producer GHZI PUR to express his boredom with hip-hop today on Favourite Rapper. Kashmir's finest Ahmer teams up with Kreon to create an off-kilter banger Ajeeb. Srinagar-based indie-folk artist Ali Saffudin makes his Azadi Records debut with Nisar Teri Galiyon Main, a brand new rendition of Faiz Ahmed Faiz's iconic poem.
