Sooraj talks of the intimacy, honesty and comfort of a late-night phone conversation, and the connections that can be found both with the other person over the phone, and within oneself.

After hitting a million views on YouTube with the music video for his song The Actor,Sooraj brings yet another song from his 11-track album ‘Here We Go’ to life on the screen. Performed by Sooraj, featuring singer-songwriter Raye Robinson, the song is a gentle yet hooky ballad, fit for the dreamy late-night to early-morning hours.

Sooraj recently graduated from Musician’s Institute, Hollywood with a degree in vocal performance but has been playing the keyboards since age one and a half, passing his Trinity College Grade 8 keyboard exam at age six, He plays multiple instruments such as the guitar, drums, bass and classical piano, while combining them all into professionally doing music production. His other music videos for the songs ‘Nemesis’ and ‘City Beat’ raked up over 60,000 and 150,000 views on YouTube respectively, while he performed his songs from the album both in the US and in India. He also pursued his passion for aviation while in the US, earning his commercial pilot’s license.

The video for 3am Conversationsis a reflection of Sooraj’s signature acoustic and warm style of songwriting. It also features his friend and fellow music school student Raye Robinson, an accomplished singer-songwriter and ukulele player. The video alternates between visuals from a late-night conversation between the two artists, as well as the two of the performing together.

Sooraj say s“The song was meant to be a duet from the very beginning. I wanted to capture the intimacy of a late-night conversation. In that moment it’s just you and the other person baring your souls to one another, and I wanted to try and reflect the vulnerability and honesty of such a conversation.”He also adds,“This is not a love song, although it comes very close to being one. That’s the beauty of a 3am conversation - you can have it with anyone you choose, while being in the comfort of your bedclothes - be it a lover, a friend or a relative. It’s one of the most intimate songs I’ve written.”
