The Television Academy today awarded the 66th Primetime Emmy® Awards from the Nokia Theatre L.A. LIVE in Los Angeles for programming which aired during the 2013-2014 season. STAR did the first ever LIVE simulcast of the 66th Primetime Emmy® Awards in English Entertainment across 5 channels - Star World, Star World HD, Star World Premiere HD, FX and Fox Crime today, 26th of August 2014.
Hosted by Seth Meyers, the 66th Emmy Awards ceremony presented the coveted statuette in 26 categories and was telecast live on NBC. In addition, Emmys in 80 other categories for programs and individual achievements were presented at the Creative Arts Awards on August 16, 2014, also from the Nokia Theatre.
The awards, as tabulated by the independent accounting firm of Ernst & Young LLP, were distributed as follows: (Note: The figures in parenthesis represent the grand total of Emmys awarded, including those announced tonight and those announced August 16, 2014).
The repeat of the three-hour 66th Primetime Emmy® Awards will be showcased tonight at 8: 00 pm on Star World, Star World HD, Fox Crime and FX.
