The pursuit for a never heard before sound led to an unique amalgamation of genres by the joining of musical forces of ‘Chabuk’ frontman Tanmay Bahulekar andacclaimed Indian classical guitarist-producer Aniket Gundewar to present‘Modern Day Mehfil’. The duo today released their debut single Kyun now available on all streaming platforms.

Kyun is a hauntingly beautiful melody that questions everyday instances which challenge a peaceful cohesive existence. The track is a heartfelt, lyrical piece which finds its musical roots in Indian classical sounds engulfed in electronica vibes.

Elaborating on their exciting new project, Tanmay and Aniket said, “Music has forever been transcendental; true to that spirit, musicians, have always stepped out of their comfort zones and experimented with genre crossovers. This project will beone such style bender. Our songs will reach for your soul and with Kyun, we hope to do exactly that.”

The duo of Tanmay and Aniket will capitalize on their strengths of heartfelt writing rooted in poetry, their formal training in Indian classical music and experience in studio sound engineering and music production.
