Aavrutti, the young lyrical marksmen from Mumbai embark on their debut album journey with their first single Stage is a brand new Hindi hip hop song.
Interweaving experience of backstage anticipation, the nuances of a performance and most importantly the flow of energy between the performers and their audience, Stage brings in the live experience to you.
The music video for Stage is about the flow of energy that Aavrutti are feeling just before they are about to perform their debut album ‘Naya Zamana’ for their fans, that’s why it’s set up in a green room and backstage scenario where everything happens the way it usually does when they go for a show. Being in the middle of a pandemic, it was best to showcase visuals that described their eagerness and need to be on a ‘Stage’ for their fans that have been waiting. The music video ends with “To Be Continued...” which means there’s more to the story and it’s a surprise!
Aavrutti has kickstarted 2020 on a high note contributing a memorable verse on Gully Gang’s Cypher Vol. 2 alongside Divine and his fellowlabel mates. Mass Appeal India and Gully Gang Records promoted the ‘Shutdown’ hip hop compilation with tracks like Flavours, Alag Hai Disha and Nahi Pata. They are in the midst of completing their debut album which is due for release on Mass Appeal India later this year.
