Mohammad Rafi classic Badan Pe Sitare gets an all new version

The evergreen Mohammad Rafi classic Badan Pe Sitare from the 1969 film ‘Prince’, has been a constant favorite through generations, remembered both for its unbeatable melody, its catchy lyrics and the effortless dancing moves displayed by effervescent Shammi Kappor on screen. Originally composed by Shankar Jaikishan, penned by Hasrat Jaipuri and sung by legendary singer Mohammad Rafi, the song was picturised on Shammi Kapoor and Vyjayanthimala.

Now more than five decades later, the song still continues to attract listeners, as music label Saregama has released an all new version of the song, featuring some of the most popular faces amongst the youth today. singer duo Stebin Ben and Sehnoor go behind the mike to come up with an all new version.

Directed by Aman Prajapat, this recreation of the iconic party number will be brought alive on the screen by the amazing chemistry between Bigg Boss fame Asim Riaz and Sehnoor while Stebin Ben and Sehnoor go behind the mike, bringing back a gush of nostalgia with a modern upbeat touch. Originally sung by the legendary singer Mohammed Rafi, the current rendition has been shaped by Rahul Singh while KunaalVermaa brought forth his lyrical expertise.

Commenting on the same, Asim said, “It’s such a thrill to be part of this iconic song, which was made memorable on screen by the iconic Shammi Kappoor. While I can’t match the legend’s moves, this is our own humble way of paying tribute to the legends behind the song. We had a great team - both behind the mike and in front of camera, to recreate this song, and I hope my fans shower it with their love”
