Singer-songwriter Saachi dwells on the existential 'to do or not to do' dilemma 'Do / Don't'

Rising young star and Mumbai based singer-songwriter, Saachi recently released her, Do / Don’t. This marks the 21 year old singers first release of the year after three successful singles and a debut EP. The new track talks about us being obsessed with doing everything, and sometimes in the process of being ourselves, we end up losing out on doing something, eventually upsetting people around us.

Commenting on her new release, Saachi said, “I randomly found a voice note on my phone saying ‘I'm doomed if I do and doomed if I don't’ and the fact that those words resonated with me even a year after writing them down was a sign that we need to embrace our chaos and be content with the choices we make, while being fiercely unapologetic about living our lives on our terms. In a way, I wanted to share this thought with everyone out there being hard on themselves and being judged for the choices they’ve made. Do / Don’t is about this and I’ve tried to focus on personal growth and self-understanding in the modern age. This song is also a conversation between me and the people I’ve perhaps disappointed so often”.

Produced by Ayan De, the sounds in the track are very experimental and range from using coffee sipping, cafe chatter sounds to lots of other organic samples.

Saachi spent a good part of last year lending her voice to the soundtrack of the very popular series, ‘Four more shots please’ where she scored four tracks. “Working with Mikey MaCleary was a dream and this body of work certainly boosted my confidence as a singer”, She said.
