India’s most coveted platform for young singers to showcase their talent, is all set to step into the next phase of their competition. After an extensive 45 day talent hunt in their first-ever hybrid format, the platform has finalised its Top 10 singers, who will battle against each other to reach the Top 5. To make this journey more exciting, one lucky winner will get the chance to compete through the wild card entry and perform against the final five.
Tapping into India’s unparalleled talent pool, the third season of had a robust entry system making it easy for singers across the country to participate. With the help of Smule, the social singing app, which had a specially curated playlist and easy navigation, singers could send in their entries with just one click. The shortlisted Top 10 will now go head-to-head with each other to secure their spot on the Top 5. Widening the search for this title and giving one more chance to the budding singers, Mirchi Cover Star has opened up entries for a wild card entrant.
The lucky five, along with the wild card entry will then get the chance to perform LIVE in Mumbai, on February 19th 2021. In the presence of our music industry’s finest - Meet Bros, Kanika Kapoor, Harshdeep Kaur and Neeti Mohan – the six singers will compete to become Mirchi’s next Cover Star.
The top 10 shortlisted candidates are Chirag Chopra - Mumbai, Meghraj Mayank – Mumbai, Vasundhara Shiva Kumar – Bengaluru, Sahana DN – Bengaluru, Rutuja Pande – Chennai, Ranjini – Chennai, Arushi Mohan - Prayagraj, , Bhavesh Dangi - Pali, Hrishrikesh Subramonian – Trivandrum, and Neha Sachan – Hyderbadad.
After two phenomenal seasons, the winner of the third season gets a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to perform at the 13th Mirchi Music Awards, alongside leading icons of the Indian music industry. The winner will also get a chance to be featured in a music video launch with a well-reputed music label and be rewarded with a cash prize of INR 3 Lakhs.
