India’s top post-rock band will be heading out on tour after a year, and will be supported by The Tramlines Project.
Known for emotive shows,aswekeepsearching is all set to head out on a tour across 4 cities in India. Their latest album‘sleep’(out April 17th 2020) was a welcoming surprise for their fans, especially in the midst of the single greatest calamity of our lifetime - the Covid-19 Pandemic.
With the situation slowly progressing towards normalcy and social events finally emerging again, the world’s first Hindi post-rock band are setting out to take their brand of ambient and immersive live music experienceon the road, straight to their fans. The trio from Pune and Kolkata have curated a unique setlist for this tour which will comprise favourites from all full length releases, and have a few collaborations for their live performance in place.
Aswekeepsearching will also be joined by Bengaluru based progressive Post Rock outfit - The Tramlines project as the supporting act for the tour.
The first Indian band which grabbed international attention for their post-rock music in 2015, Aswekeepsearching have so far released widely acclaimed albums ‘Khwaabi’ and ‘Zia’with their third album ‘Rooh’marked by introducing innovative approaches including an apparel line ‘Zia’ and an interactive fan club ‘AWKS Gazers’, album listening tours and more.
Aswekeepsearching, who are known for their instrumental music interspersed with Hindi vocals, promise an emotion-soaked sonic experience. Formed in 2013, the Ahmedabad/Pune based band has many feathers in its hat, including three Europe tours, continuous interaction with their fans and collaboration with top brands like Vans, OnePlus and Red Bull. They are famous for leaving their audiences awestruck with their ethereal live performances, often featuring dancers mixed with fire stunts.
The band consists of Uddipan Sarmal (guitars and vocals), bassist Robert Alex, Shubham Gurung (guitars and keys) and drummer Gautam Deb. In 2019 Deb left the band with Sambit Chatterjee joining as his replacement.
