‘Kundram’ is a studio album by A Madurai rapper Shankara. The album features guest appearances from Nowsa G, Senthuzhan, Syan saheer and Jamilan.

Recording sessions took place at Ggang Records in April 2020, with production led by Nowsa G and a variety of high-profile producers, including Faais Beatz, Senthuzhan, And Ponkundram.

The album lyrics exhibit themes of opulence, fame, materialism, power, and the burdens of success, as well as political context. The album also expresses other topics,such as Shankara’s thoughts on Hood, Three singles were released for Kundram, including Kanavugal, Evar Thadupinum, And Outro. The videos received generally positive reviews from music critics, who mostly praised Shankara's performances and the productions.

Karthick Shankar A.K.A Shankara is an Tamil rapper and songwriter. As a child, he was interested in storytelling, aspiring to be a comic book artist before discovering hip-hop.Shankara heard his first rap song (Madai Thiranthu , featuring Yogi B and Natchatra) on the Vallavan Album.

In the summer of 2014, he met rappers Senthuzhan And Syan Saheer(Madurai Souljours), who mentored him and encouraged his love of hip-hop. Shankara wrote his first rap song at age 24. He began to gain recognition in 2018 after his first collaboration with Madurai Souljour’s rapper Senthuzhan’s , Payanam.

The following year, he independently Ddeveloped his first studio album, ‘Kundram’ which included his debut single En kanavugal.
